BEHIND CLOSED CURTAINS

Behind Closed Curtain, originally performed as part of Kitchen Sink Production's Role of Five, is a short-play about a love story between an Actor and a Stagehand, both with big aspirations for the stage and even bigger hearts.

Set in the wings of Shakespeare's Hamlet at a well known theatre, the pair continuously meet during the iconic 'To be or not to be' speech across the production's run. The narrative ebbs and flows as the pangs and toils of workplace romance, productions disaster and ambition fulfil themselves to reveals the injustices of a world beyond the stage door.
