Our Partner Charity: Young People's Shop
Kitchen Sink Production's is a proud friend and supporter of The Young People's Shop, a charity which offers free Counselling, Emotional Support, Advice and Guidance to any young person aged between 11 and 25 years old in Chichester and the surrounding area. We are proud to promote The Young People's Shop as our official charity whose values as a community driven organisation we embrace and look to work with wherever possible as our designated 'asset lock'.

Community Projects
Kitchen Sink Productions places the value of community at the centre of our work and in choosing who and where to work. Kitchen Sink is committed to empowering communities across the UK which are not traditionally serviced by theatre and the arts.

We dedicate a portion of our time, effort and resources to working with charities, community centres and groups who aim to benefit their communities and enjoy working with everyone who wishes to make a difference.

Chichester District Foodbank
Earlier this year we were invited to help in the creation of a concert in aid of the Chichester District Foodbank, and on the 26th May, alongside a variety of very talented people, we performed some jokes and sketches to raise food and money for the foodbank.

This was an overwhelming success raising over £200 and an enormous amount of food donations. Look forward to similar events occurring as we work more in the community.

Workshops and the 'Kitchen Sink Method'
As part of our outreach to young people we offer workshops to schools and colleges in devising with the 'Kitchen Sink Method'. We place a special focus on autonomy within young people to make there own decisions and ideas the focus of the method.

Our workshops are split into 3 sections, each exploring a different aspect of making theatre: The first focuses on being present in the room, generating focus and establishing positive relationships with fellow theatre makers. The second section focuses on playing in the devising process and how celebrating failure can progress and idea. The final section looks at where we devise from and how we use stimulus to generate material whilst focusing on the ownership of the work created.
